Weekend Bliss : Autumn Morning Glory

The whole family rose with the sun this morning, which felt way too early for a Saturday morning but it was so worth the effort. We were greeted by a calm Noosa River and a heavy grey autumn sky but were comforted by a temperature of a lovely 20 degrees. The sunlight desperately tried to force itself through the heavy cloud cover which resulted in some amazing photo opportunities.

As you can see I became rather obsessed when it came to images of boats and their reflections on the river.

Making the most of the grey colour and fractures of morning light breaking through the clouds, I decided to try something different with my photos today. I have used the camera+ app to add a Silver Gelatin filter to images taken by my DSLR. It's not something I've done before but am quite happy with the result for something different.

I hope you too have found some bliss this week end.

  1. Hi Heather, yeah I like your photos and the effect you've chosen. Especially your first one with the boats, it's great! Really jealous that you're living in Noosa and so close to the beach! xx

  2. Thanks for your feedback Claudia. Yes I really like the first one too. I have to admit that I often feel like I live in Paradise. Sending you much Bliss, Heather xx
