Much to my family's excitement, my wonderful mum has been visiting us from NSW this last week. As usual we have caught up on lots of chit chat over many cups of tea which is possibly one of our most enjoyed shared past times when were together. You may remember I have mentioned my slight addiction to the ritual of drinking tea here before. Generally, when we visit cafes we chose to drink coffees as there is nothing better, in my opinion then a home brewed tea, made just the way I take it. Willing to give a new local Tea Room a go, we ventured over to the lovely Noosa River cafe precinct to try one of their high tea light lunches.
|Fresh Roses on every table|
White linen table cloths were meticulously set with glass vases filled with fresh roses, silver sugar bowls and cutlery and the most delicate of English china tea sets, every little girls dream right! What I really loved was even with the delicate and somewhat decedent setting, the atmosphere was one of welcome. We were greeted by a charming staff member who made us feel more like visitors in her home then a place of business. By the time our large pots of tea (that stayed noticeable warm till finished) arrived along with our two tiered plate of sandwiches, mini savoury pastries and sweet treats, we were relaxed and felt liked we'd been transported back in time to a Victorian style English tea room and partaking in the ritual of tea. It was tea bliss and a lovely way to share a few cups of tea with my mum. We concluded our Tea Room experience by swapping our cups to do a little light hearted tea leaf reading. Hmmm do you see any revelations in my cup below?
Do you have any little rituals of bliss that you enjoy with your mum or daughter?
