|It's all about homemade cupcakes and flowers from our garden this Valentines Day|
"My bounty is as boundless as the sea, My love as deep; the more I give to the, the more I have, for both are infinite."
William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet
Miss R is without doubt, hands down the biggest cup cake Queen in our family; much to every ones enjoyment. She is always making them and it's all the more fun if there is a theme she can follow. So you can imagine my delight when I noticed that in the excitement of arranging 'secret' little Valentines gifts for the family that she managed to (first time ever) forget about making cup cakes. This meant it was my turn to have some cupcake fun and outsmart the Queen of cupcakes. I managed to get them baked and iced yesterday and last night without the kids knowing, better still I succeeded in hiding them in the fridge without being found! Needless to say, there was great excitement this morning as the dinning room table displayed the aptly themed cupcakes, iced arrowroot biscuits and chocolate love bugs ready to be packed in lunch boxes for school. I must say it is the simple joys experienced as a family that brings me the greatest happiness. Who new that staying up late to prepare this little surprise would bring me so much bliss and contentment.
