Moments of Bliss : A Pre Christmas Interlude

Time to enjoy the view - Noosa Beach photo by Heather

As you may have noticed, I have taken a short respite from my regular routines over the last two weeks. With the festive season drawing nearer, I experienced a higher then normal amount of appointments, visits to end of year school activities, numerous celebrations and best of all the arrival of special guests.

I must admit though, I am a creature of habit and like to stick to routine. Certain amounts of anxiety tend to set in when I stray too far from habit. Every now and then I encounter the realisation that the routine I have set out for myself just won't work or fit in with life at that time. Thankfully, after many years of stress and practice I can now sense when this situation begins to arise. I recognise the need for me to be completely flexible and to just relax and go with the flow of life.

Interestingly, by accepting this simple flow and spending time and also wasting time with loved ones rather then trying to force everything into my routine, usually allows me to be blissful and experience great amounts of gratitude in my life.  So, now I am completely rested and re-energised and looking forward to the fast approaching, merry moments of the festive season.
