Design Bliss : A love affair with Dolce and Gabbana

Dolce & Gabbana Add campaign

Wow, wow, wow I almost hyperventilate when ever I visit Dolce & Gabbana's website. Apart from the fact I love anything Italian and that their add campaigns include some of the most beautiful people in the world wearing the most exquisite clothing, I appreciate the fact that the fashion house honours their roots and stays true to their Italian heritage. Just look at these gorgeous women in the add above, full of  beauty, style charm and a huge amount of spirit. These ladies breathe confidence and attitude. For me, the adds are about more then the clothes.

Classic Glamour

Dolce & Gabbana's 2013 summer collection joyfully exudes with the vibrant celebration of classic seaside glamour. I just adore this modern salute to 1940's French Riviera and Italy's Capri. The stripes, the head wraps, the fabulously huge earrings the bold sun glasses, the bags, it just all works for now as it did then. If there is ever a period of fashion that I love most and would love to own, this would be it!

Without disappointment the men's collection followed on in the same vein with a classic, chic and very suave 1940's seaside theme. This style reminds me of the movie 'The talented Mr Ripley'  staring Matt Damon and of the great Italian actor of the 1950's Marcello Mastroianni. I think my Mr P would look amazing in a pair of shorts like those above on balmy summers days. What a perfect style accessory…… a gorgeous man wearing Dolce & Gabbana
